Dog insurance does not have to be expensive, it is possible to get cheap dog insurance cover from as little as a few pounds a month. Having a good dog insurance policy will save you a lot of expense, worry and heartache in the long run.
An elderly friend of mine recently told me about when her much loved dog Zoe became ill. Zoe is company for her owner who is a widow and also gives her an excuse to get out and meet people when it is time for the daily walk. Zoe was quite seriously ill and needed treatment over many month, in fact the vets bill cam to just over two thousand pounds which cleared out all her savings.
It wouldn't have mattered how much the treatment cost as she would have paid anything to get Zoe better. When you have a dog that has been with you for so many years you will understand.
Of course Zoe is covered with dog insurance now but it is more expensive as Zoe is an older dog with a history of serious illness which means the cost is much higher. If a dog insurance policy had been taken out whilst Zoe was in her prime and with no record of illness the cost would be much less and the expensive treatment required later in life would have been covered by the cheaper dog insurance.
